Itinerary
Check in to your hotel – Hilton Garden Inn Raleigh Durham Airport
After your long flight, check in and stay in the very comfortable Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. This is a good one-night stay to ease into the holiday, relax, and recoup before your transfer to Pinehurst the next morning where the excitement really begins.
Group transport from RDU to Pinehurst Resort (approx. 90 mins)
Accommodation: Carolina Hotel, Pinehurst Resort
2 nights — breakfast included
Experience true Southern hospitality at Pinehurst Resort, one of the pre-eminent golf resorts in the United States. You will be staying in the Carolina Hotel, a majestic century-old hotel dubbed the “Queen of the South”.
Golf on Pinehurst No. 8.
Originally designed by Tom Fazio and opening in 1996 to celebrate Pinehurst’s first 100 years, No. 8 is nicknamed “The Centennial Course.” Undergoing subtle renovations in 2022, the design of this course is unique when compared to other Pinehurst courses, but it still has that distinct Pinehurst feel. Designated as a Signature Sanctuary by the Audubon Society, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of wetlands and plenty of longleaf pines.
Evening: Official Tour Welcome Dinner
(drinks included)
Join your Host for a memorable night and a lot of fun with your newfound friends.
In 2020, the USGA announced Pinehurst is the first Anchor Site of the US Open, with the championship returning to Pinehurst in 2024, 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047.
Teed Up’s long-term partnership with Pinehurst means that we have been able to secure a limited number of tee times to play No. 2 only 2 months before the 2024 US Open!
A caddie is provided, so you will get the true “professional” playing experience.
Evening: Dinner at one of the Resorts restaurants is included (drinks at own costs)
With Caddie and lunch
FOR THOSE GUESTS JUST JOINING US FOR THE MASTERS WEEK TOUR
You will NEED TO ARRIVE at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International airport (ATL) today for the group transfer to Aiken, SC (approx. a 2.5-hour drive from Atlanta to Aiken).
ATL is a major airport with non-stop flights from most large US cities. Alternatively, you can fly directly to Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) which is only 30 minutes away from Aiken.
Teed Up can arrange additional nights pre-tour accommodation at your hotel should you wish to arrive early to rest before the tour begins.
ACCOMMODATION: CARRIAGE HOUSE INN
7 Nights — breakfast included
8:00am departure for your much anticipated first day. Even those of you shaking off jet lag you will be wide awake for the Practice Day at the Masters.
This is a great chance to take photos of the course and players, as cameras are not permitted during the tournament days.
Please note that iPhones etc. are not allowed inside Augusta National at any time, so please pack a traditional camera.
Our insider tip is that today is also the best day to shop for souvenirs as some may run out by the end of the week. We highly recommend you buy a souvenir Masters chair which can be placed anywhere on the course and will remain vacant until you return to them – a great Masters tradition.
For some fun today you are advised to spend some time at the Par 3, 16th hole as players try to skip the ball over the pond and onto the green. Always a laugh.
4-7 pm:
It is a casual walk back to our Augusta hospitality zone. The TV is showing highlights, everyone is on a high and you will enjoy complimentary drinks and delicious canapés with your hosts and friends. Discuss the day’s highlights and your first day at Augusta.
Regular transfers are also provided back to your hotel from 4:30pm until 7:30pm for your convenience.
Evening:
This evening is yours to enjoy. If you would like a little guidance as to where to go and what to do, just let us know and we can help. As the week gets busier we would recommend booking at one of our favourite restaurants, which we can help you with.
Morning: 7:00 am start the day with a fully cooked breakfast cooked at your hotel.
Then we move on to Palmetto GC for some great golf – established in 1872 the golf course is steeped in history, is a par 71 layout and what the course may lack in length, it certainly more than makes up for with its small elevated and undulating greens, and clever bunkers. It is hard not to truly respect this impressive course.
The course was re-designed by Alistair McKenzie just after he completed Augusta, so we play here so you can have a taste of what it may be like to play Augusta. A light lunch is included at the club after your golf so you can talk through the highlight of the round.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON – Masters Practice & Par 3 Contest (extra cost)
Today you may elect to add on Wednesday Masters Tickets where you can enjoy watching players practice before viewing the traditional Par 3 Contest at the Masters in the afternoon. This is a great day as most players turn up to have some fun. The Par 3 usually starts at 12:00pm
Evening:
Own arrangements.
Few towns in the Southeast offer more gracious charm than Aiken, South Carolina. Aiken is simply stunning, and is known as the “polo capital of the South”. It’s a place where horses still have right of way and diverse southern history can be viewed through its beautiful historic homes and museums. A very relaxing way to unwind and rest after a few days of golf. If you are looking for something in particular, just let us know and we can help.
An option round of golf is available if you would like (additional cost)
Evening: Join us for our First Round Happy Hour at the Carriage House Inn. The first round of the Masters will be on TV. It is a great venue to relax on the back balcony and have a few drinks to catch-up on the day of leisure. (Complimentary food and drinks)
Today we get to enjoy the private Augusta Country Club which borders Augusta National (so its probably as close as you will ever get to playing Augusta!!) With it’s bent grass greens in great condition in April this is the only course you can play where you get to hit a shot over Raes Creek and hear the roars from the Masters tournament!
Your day will include transfers to the course, a cart, lunch and drinks all day while you are at the club.
Evening:
This evening is yours to enjoy. As always, if you would like a little guidance as to where to go and what to do just let us know and we can help.
OPTIONAL ADD-ON: ATTEND US MASTERS TOURNAMENT ROUND 2 (additional costs)
Follow your favourite group around the course or place your deck chair at Amen Corner and watch all the groups come through. Head towards the 18th as players attempt to make the cut.
Including Cart & Lunch at the Clubhouse
The Reserve Course, at Aiken’s The Reserve Club, is a superb Nicklaus Design. Upon its completion, the course was named by Golf Digest as one of the “Top Ten Best New Private Courses in America in 2003.” It has continually been named one of South Carolina’s top courses ever since.
Lunch: is included after golf at the Clubhouse.
Evening: A complimentary Farewell & Golf Presentation Dinner and Drinks
Provided by Teed-Up at the stunning Willcox Hotel. We are either by the pool, or in a beautiful and exclusive private dining area.
OPTIONAL ALTERNATIVE – Masters Round 3
Today you may elect to add on Saturday Tickets to witness famous “Moving Day” at Augusta National as the competitors set themselves up for the Final Round.
Attend the final day’s play of the US Masters Tournament. As soon as you get there, place your chair around the 18th green or fairway so you will be able to see the climax of the tournament. Wander the fairways following the leaders or base yourself at the 16th where Tommy Fleetwood scored a hole-in-one in 2021 and Stewart Cink did as well in 2022.
4-7pm:
Happy Hour at our hospitality zone or stay and watch the Green Jacket Presentation held on the Putting Green in front of the Clubhouse.
This is a day you will remember.
Today you will be transferred from Aiken to Atlanta International Airport (approx. 2.5 hours drive). The coach will pick you up at 9:00am.
