After just returning from a great British Open trip its hard to get into the next PGA Tour event The Greenbrier Classic… but with last years results here, it has to get you excited! Remember – Stuart Appleby’s 59? Fantastic result however he has had a bad year with missed cuts, withdrawals and DQ’s… lets hope he can find that vibe this week…
The Old White Course is expected to be a bit harder than last year after a few alterations… this is a ball strikers course now. There are a few players returning from a week off after The Open and Phil & Sergio are the two big boys… you have to think they will fire up! Apart from that Local Shire boy Aron Price is finding form again and will play well! Cant wait to see if big JD can keep going ( love him ). I picked Anthony Kim last week and never again … soft if you ask me! A couple of others that might do well are Charles Howell and DeJonge, maybe Jonathon Byrd…
A bit of gossip around the traps… with Steve Williams still whinging, my tip is that Tiger will employ Tony Navarro… Along time ago before Tiger made his mark he approached Greg Norman and asked if he could employ Tony, Norman said sure but Tony being a loyal guy declined… So I think they will now join up and I think that’s a good thing for Tiger… Also heard at The Open Championship over a few beers that the worst player on tour according to the caddies is Justin Rose! Heard some terrible stories about how he is… cant tell though, they are so bad!
