Founded in 1851, Prestwick Golf Club is the birthplace of The Open Championship. The first championship was played here in 1860, and the club hosted many of the tournament’s earliest editions.
Designed by Old Tom Morris, the course retains the distinctive features of historic Scottish golf. Blind shots, railway boundaries, deep bunkers, rolling fairways and coastal winds require creativity and confident decision-making.
Prestwick is more than another round on the itinerary. It gives guests the opportunity to play across the ground where The Open began and where many of the game’s earliest traditions were established.
