Pezula Golf Club, formerly known as Sparrebosch, occupies a spectacular clifftop site on the East Head of Knysna. Designed by Ronald Fream and David Dale and opened in 2000, the course winds over dramatic terrain high above the Indian Ocean. The routing features exhilarating elevation changes, with steep climbs and descents between tees and greens.
The front nine offers panoramic views of the Knysna Lagoon, while the back nine tumbles downhill toward the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The course's signature stretch is the par-5 13th and par-4 14th: the 13th tee sits on the edge of a precipice, delivering hang-time drives towards the sea, and the short par-4 14th demands a precise tee shot and a nerve-testing approach to a well-bunkered green.
