The Outeniqua course, named after the nearby mountain range, is a parkland layout designed by Gary Player and opened in 1997. It forms one of the two member-guest courses at the Fancourt resort. Although shorter than its sister Montagu course, Outeniqua is still a challenging test, with water hazards on eleven holes and bunkers guarding many greens. The layout follows an out-and-back routing through the Fancourt residential estate and only returns to the clubhouse after the 18th hole.
The course begins at the outside deck of Monet's restaurant, and the first hole is a short par 4 that introduces players to the undulating terrain. After the 13th hole, golfers enter a parkland arena of five holes set around water hazards, creating a memorable finish.
