Las Brisas de Chicureo is a 36-hole golf and country club located around 30 kilometres north of Santiago. The original Valle course is considered the premier routing; it opened in 1997. The courses wind through residential developments, so housing often lines both sides of many fairways. Large expanses of waste areas flank numerous holes while mature trees along the perimeter help reduce outside noise.
-
Long opening par 4; typically plays into the prevailing wind. Waste areas border both sides.
-
Slight dog-leg right; large bunkers protect the landing zone. Houses line both sides.
-
Short par 4; players can take driver to reach close to the green but must avoid waste areas.
-
Medium-length par 3. Elevated green guarded by bunkers; wind can swirl between the houses.
-
Strong par 4 with a tight landing area. A lake guards the approach on the left near the green.
-
First par 5; wide fairway encourages an aggressive tee shot. Waste areas flank the landing zone.
-
Plays slightly uphill; fairway narrows near the green. Trees and housing frame the hole.
-
Short par 3; accuracy is more important than length. A small pond lies near the green.
-
Finishing hole of the front nine. A lake guards the left side of the green, making the second shot risky.
-
Begins the Montaña loop; plays downhill with waste areas on the right. A mid-iron approach is typical.
-
Short par 4; dog-legs left. Bunkers protect the corner and the front of the green.
-
Long par 5. Fairway crests a ridge then descends; bunkers guard the lay-up area.
-
Signature par 4 featuring a downhill tee shot to a fairway flanked by waste areas. Approach carries a ravine.
-
Long par 3; plays over scrubland to a green angled from right to left. One of the toughest par 3s.
-
Straight par 4; water lurks along the right side near the landing area.
-
Medium-length par 3 across a waste area; large, undulating green.
-
Dog-leg left with a fairway that slopes toward the waste area on the right. Precise approach needed.
-
Long finishing par 5; a lake to the right of the green demands a well-placed lay-up.
-
Includes a spa, sauna and pool.
-
Full equestrian facilities added in 2006.
-
Tennis and squash courts, plus a bowling alley.
