TEED UP’S PRIMARY CONCERN IS KEEPING OUR GOLFERS & TOUR GUESTS SAFE & HEALTHY

Your well-being, and that of our staff, is always our primary concern and is taken very seriously by everyone in our team.

We have implemented the following guidelines and procedures for tours to protect our golfers and tour guests to minimise risks and to keep you as safe and healthy as possible.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Guests travelling with Teed Up should have travel insurance before they travel.  We recommend that you read the conditions carefully before you buy, so you know what’s covered. Remember that you need insurance for all destinations, including transit locations.

VACCINATIONS:

You can minimise your risk of becoming unwell by ensuring that your travel vaccinations are up to date.  This includes being vaccinated against COVID-19.   Teed Up encourages all travellers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before travelling on tour either within Australia or anywhere overseas.

We also encourage our tour guests to follow local health advice at all tour destinations and to continue to implement simple hygiene and infectious disease control steps, such as:

AUSTRALIAN DOMESTIC TOURS

CONTACTLESS RECORD KEEPING

For any golf days or tours, Teed Up have implemented a QR Code that allows our clients to scan using their phone camera to enter their contact details. Our record keeping processes allow us to contact anyone in the event of a potential exposure to someone that may have tested positive to Covid-19.

Teed Up also strongly recommend that all our golfers and tour guests have the Australian Government Covid-Safe app downloaded onto their mobile phone.

ON-LINE REGISTRATION

For our tours or golf days, Teed Up have implemented On-Line Registration and Payment options using the Golf Genius system.

PORTABLE CONTACTLESS PAYMENT SYSTEM

If the golf-day, tournament, or tour have optional activities or require final payment on the day, Teed Up have a portable SQUARE Point of Sale (POS) device that allows credit cards to be tapped for cashless payment transactions.

DIGITAL SCORING

The golf clubs we play have asked us to move towards contactless scoring so Teed Up is now utilising a “digital scorecard” option on your mobile phones to do the scoring using the Golf Genius app. This aligns with the Rules of Golf and is being used by a growing number of golf clubs here in Australia.

TEMPERATURE & WELLNESS CHECKS

Many of our golf course, accommodation and restaurant partners may take temperature checks using digital thermometers and require contact information to be supplied as a condition of entry, and we ask for your cooperation during this process.

Teed Up may also require customers to complete a Wellness Check each day to check that no-one in the group is feeling unwell, displaying any of the symptoms of Covid-19, have been in contact with anyone that has tested positive to the coronavirus within the past 14 days or travelled in a known Coronavirus hot-spot, before they are allowed to play or continue on our golf tours.

Teed Up hosts will also have available details of the closest Covid-19 Testing location if anyone becomes unwell during the golf day or tour.

HYGIENE & SANITISATION

All golfers and guests are recommended to carry their own personal supply of hand-sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes in their golf bag.

As per Australian Government recommendations, golfers and tour guests are encouraged to always maintain high levels of personal hygiene by regularly washing their hands with soap and/or hand sanitiser, especially before and after eating or after touching anything. We also recommend that our guests refrain from touching their face and coughing or sneezing should be done into your elbow.

We also recommend that you clean and sanitise your golf equipment before the start of a golf day or tour and that you regularly clean and sanitise your golf clubs (including grips) throughout the day. Under no circumstances should you allow anyone else to touch or borrow your golf equipment.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Teed Up will remind all golfers and tour guests of the requirement to maintain social distancing of at least 1.5m at all time. We strongly discourage handshakes, kisses, high-fives or any other personal contact at the end of any round of golf and throughout the golf day or tour.

TRUSTED PARTNERS

Teed Up works with golf courses, hotels, transport providers and restaurants that have implemented a Covid-19 plan to ensure you are in the safest environment possible.

ELECTRONIC UPDATES

We will be utilising SMS updates for golf briefings and any important tour messages via the Golf-Genius app.

INTERNATIONAL TOURS

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Teed Up requires all international tour participants to have travel insurance before they can join our tours.  We will ask for a copy of the policy number as part of our booking process.

INTERNATIONAL VACCINE CERTIFICATE

Every country or territory decides who can enter or leave through its borders. Foreign governments may need evidence of the COVID-19 vaccinations and tests you’ve had before they let you enter.

The Australian-issued International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (ICVC) is a free and secure way to prove your COVID-19 vaccination history when you travel across borders overseas.

Your international certificate features a secure QR code. It includes all the information you need to prove to airlines and authorities that you’ve had your COVID-19 vaccinations.

Some authorities may accept the QR code on its own, but some may not. Carry a printout of the PDF version in case you need it.

You’ll need to show your international certificate and passport when you check in at the airport in Australia. Depending on your destination, you may need to show your certificate to local authorities when you arrive.

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

Before and during your travel on tour with Teed Up, it is your responsibility to check the rules and guide-lines in the destination(s) that you are travelling to.

Teed Up recommends the Australian Government’s Smart Traveller website as a good starting point for reviewing this information.  Click here for a link to this website.

It is also each guest’s responsibility to check the requirements for their international flight with the airline’s website and also ensure that you meet any entry or exit requirements, including visa or passport details, for the countries that you are travelling between or transiting.

HYGIENE & SANITISATION

Vaccines provide protection, but there is still a risk of you becoming unwell while travelling.  In all countries, Teed Up recommends that you:

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CONTRACT COVID-19 WHILE ON TOUR?

It is our policy, in the event that a guest tests positive to COVID-19 whilst on tour internationally with Teed Up, is to reflect the COVID-19 policy of the country that we are in.  We will follow the recommendations regarding isolation, quarantine and re-testing which may result in the guest having to leave the tour.  While our tour leaders will provide assistance at this time, please be advised that the guest will incur all costs and expenses resulting from the COVID-19 diagnosis, including forfeiting any of the remaining Teed Up tour inclusions.  No refunds will be issued by Teed Up should you contract Covid-19 during the tour.

As a reminder, this is why Teed Up require all customers on our international golf tours to have their own Travel Insurance Policies in place.
