Situated at the foothills of the Ba Na mountain range west of Danang, Ba Na Hills Golf Club is the first course designed by former world No. 1 Luke Donald. The course climbs through a valley of lush jungle and rolling hills, offering cooler temperatures than the coastal courses. It measures more than 7,800 yards from the championship tees but provides multiple tee options to suit all abilities. The layout mixes parkland and links characteristics: generous fairways bordered by native vegetation, sculpted bunkers and large greens cut directly from the surrounding sand dunes.

The front nine is longer and flatter, featuring back-to-back par-5s at the 4th and 5th holes and streams or ponds coming into play on holes 4 through 9. The back nine climbs higher into the hills with more dramatic elevation changes; the signature par-3 16th plays sharply downhill to an island green. Because of the mountainous terrain, many holes offer panoramic views of the surrounding forests and, on clear days, the South China Sea. Ba Na Hills is also unique in Vietnam for having 623 floodlights mounted on 108 poles to illuminate the entire course for night golf.

The Kings Course at BRG Kings Island Golf Resort is the newest of the three courses. Designed by Nicklaus Design and opened in 2018, this modern layout stretches to 7,310 yards from the back tees. Located on a peninsula in the Dong Mo reservoir west of Hanoi, the resort is accessible only by boat, adding a memorable pre-round experience. The Kings Course features wide resort-style fairways and intricate bunker complexes, making it playable for club golfers yet challenging for better players.

Two standout par-3s define the routing: the 196-yard 4th hole and the 232-yard 17th hole, both playing to severely bunkered greens. The course uses native vegetation and water hazards from the Dong Mo reservoir to create visual drama. Large, contoured greens demand solid approach shots, especially when the afternoon breeze picks up from the lake.

The Nicklaus Course forms half of the 36-hole Legend Danang Golf Resort (the other half being the Norman Course). Built on sandy coastal terrain near Da Nang's famed beaches, the Nicklaus Course stretches 7,380 yards from the back tees. Jack Nicklaus II's design features generous fairways, large, undulating greens and shaped bunkering, with natural waste areas cut directly from the sand dunes. Water hazards are restrained but appear strategically on several holes.

The course has two distinct nine-hole loops (C and D) that combine to form the Nicklaus Course. The front nine (C course) opens with a medium par-4 followed by a long par-3 and a par-5; the back nine (D course) includes two par-5s and a reachable par-4 for birdie opportunities. Fairways are lined with long needle pines and the lack of out-of-bounds encourages strategic shot selection rather than raw power. With multiple tee options and moderate rough, the course is playable for resort golfers while still challenging for low handicappers.

The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip is a spectacular 18-hole layout on Vietnam's southern coast. Designed by Greg Norman, the course sits on a coastal plateau with elevation changes of up to 50 metres. It traverses rugged seaside dunes and native vegetation, giving it the feel of a true links course. Because the property is exposed to the strong onshore winds of the South China Sea, conditions can change dramatically during a round, making club selection and trajectory control paramount.

The course is routed through towering dunes, with holes that offer panoramic views of the ocean and the forested interior. The signature hole is the par-3 4th, played from a high dune with a 360-degree view of the coast and the resort.

Native crawling vegetation and sandy loam soil provide excellent drainage and firm turf conditions. The resort emphasises environmental stewardship and uses minimal irrigation outside of playing surfaces.
