DAY 3:  GOLF AT KOOINDAH WATERS

Completed in 2006, Kooindah Waters golf course was designed by Ross Watson and champion Australian golfer Craig Parry.

Well known for its meticulous conditioning, Kooindah Waters Golf course offers a fierce challenge to golfers of all levels. Not only will a player need to avoid water hazards on all 18 holes but Parry and Watson have also incorporated 84 fairway and green side bunkers, some with railway sleeper walls, that as well as adding to the aesthetics, also further challenges the golfer. Once these hazards are cleared, golfers can not fail to be impressed by the couch fairways and superb bent greens that roll fast and true..

DAY 4: GOLF AT SHELLY BEACH

Take to the greens on one of the most scenic golf courses on the Eastern seaboard, Shelly Beach Golf Club is one of the Central Coast’s best-kept secrets.  Formerly Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club, Shelly Beach Golf Club was originally designed in 1957 by Al Howard and later re-designed by Ross Watson.

Situated against the breathtaking backdrop of sheer coastal cliffs, and featuring tree-lined fairways and manicured greens, Shelly Beach golf course is as good for the soul as it is for the swing.

DAY 5: GOLF AT KOOINDAH WATERS

Kooindah Waters incorporates natural wetlands, lakes, ponds and natural flora, providing a layout will inspire and challenge golfers, whilst offering picturesque vistas from all directions.

Divided into three distinct character precincts, the course has been designed to be a “thinking golfer’s course” where accuracy, ball placement and imagination will be keys to scoring well. Sleeper retaining walls and bunkering are used to provide a “rustic” feel with a feature of the layout being the island green on the par-3 17th hole.
