British Open Golf Tour

2019 The Open at Royal Portrush, Ireland

12th – 23rd July 2019

Be there as the Claret Jug is raised in triumph at Royal Portrush Golf Club

Come and enjoy the perfect mix of playing top-ranked golf courses, watching the best golfers compete for British Open glory, and being embraced by your Irish hosts with the warmest hospitality at premier accommodation over 11 nights. Whether you are travelling solo, have a group of friends, or want to share a special trip with your partner, this enchanted golf tour will guide you to some of the most scenic locations in Ireland.

You’ll play at seven of Ireland’s top-ranked courses along the way, from Ballybunion’s (ranked No. 7 in Ireland) carpet-like fairways that meander between massive dunes on shores of the Atlantic Ocean, to Lahinch (ranked No. 4 in Ireland) further up the West Coast and often referred to as the St. Andrews of Ireland, and finally the famous Royal County Down in the north-east. Ranked No. 3 in the world and No. 1 in Ireland, many consider this grand Old Tom Morris course at the base of the majestic Mountains of Mourne to be the pinnacle of links golf.

You don’t have to swing a golf stick to have the most memorable tour of Ireland either. Whether it is visiting the medieval Bunratty Castle, getting close to the seals of Kinsale Harbour on a boat tour, or walking along the top of the 200-metre-plus Cliffs of Moher, a full itinerary that takes in many of the Ireland’s best attractions is included for non-golfers.

Geoff Thomas’s British Open Tour Diary

Day Five Was the day we had all been dreaming of since the first time we hit a golf ball…. playing the Old Course at St Andrews. The weather was perfect with just a small breeze. We had a small gallery watching from behind and when the starter called my name the nerves hit. My caddy handed me the driver and said “big breath lad and swing away” in his strong Scottish accent…”

“This was our second trip with Teed Up, and it definitely won’t be our last. After attending the 2010 Masters, we didn’t think this trip could be better but we were wrong. A great group of people, excellent hosts in Mike and Neira and golf courses that we won’t forget in a very long time. And, just to keep us on our toes, some great fun nights to fill in the time where sleep normally occurs. “Creating memories” Mark & Karen Pisarek, Keperra GC, 2015 British Open Golf Tour

“I went on my second “British Open” tour with Teed-Up. Like last trip, I wasn’t disappointed. Everything from booking and information beforehand, to the trip itself was very well planned. Tour hosts Mike and Neira were excellent and always thinking of our experience before their own needs (eg they had a tee off time at Old Course, that they gave away so others could play the course). Jim, the bus driver did a great job of getting us to our hotels and golf courses etc.. Throughout it all, it is quite clear that Teed-up has done this before, and I as participant benefit from their experience and selflessness! Can’t wait to book the next trip!” Jan Klockmann, Asquith GC, 2015 British Open Golf Tour

“In 2012, we joined Teed Up for the US Masters Tour….we had such a fabulous experience at Augusta, so we were keen to fulfill the other item on our golf “bucket list”, attending The Open and playing golf in Scotland. We had a wonderful time in Scotland with Teed Up! The opportunity to play famous courses that we had only seen on TV was fantastic…..teeing off at the Old Course at St Andrews, playing Prestwick where the first five Opens were played, and marvelling at the scenery at Kingsbarns and many more golfing memories. But, what makes these golfing experiences special is the Teed Up staff, led by Mike Mosher, supported by Neira, on The Open trip. These people love their jobs, and we benefit from their enthusiasm and knowledge. Thanks Mike and Neira…..we will continue to be strong ambassadors for Teed Up.” Dee & Ross James, Commonwealth GC, 2015 British Open Golf Tour

“Attending the British Open 2013, playing courses such as St Andrews Old, Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham and St Anne’s, Carnoustie, Royal Liverpool and others was for us going to golfers heaven while still alive. A fantastic experience, superbly organised, enjoyed with a great group. Book us in for the Masters.” Doug & Mary Owens, 2013 British Open Golf Tour

“It was the golf trip of a lifetime playing some of the world’s best courses. I’ll do another tour as soon as I can! Everything ran like clockwork and Moshy and the drivers work very hard to make it a memorable experience!  I did the tour with friends and that made the whole thing even more fun!”  Mike Gregg, Director, WiseTech Global 2013 British Open Golf Tour

“The 2011 British Open Tour will provide me with years of special memories. The fantastic courses that we played all had so much history and presence. Whilst all links courses they were all unique in their own way. Presentation, scenery, tee positions, weather, club houses, caddies on the day, all made for an air of excitement as we made our way to the course and lots of discussion afterwards. The genuine friendliness of the Scottish people and their knowledge and love of the game added to the overall experience. The attention to detail from Teed Up was outstanding. Everything went smoothly with a minimum of fuss with Bede and Mike making sure everyone was having a good time.” Bob Lee, Managing Director – Macquarie Underwriting Pty Ltd 2011 British Open Golf Tour

“What Lord’s is to Cricket and Wimbledon is to Tennis, St Andrews is to Golf. For golfers, going there is either a pilgrimage, or on the bucket list.
